Somebody IS Out There!

Well Golly...somebody actually READ my BLOG! I have not had time to write ANYTHING, just choose a title. So, you want to know what I'm doing to keep me away from you all? And why I have not time for anything but reading the blogs of others.


I am deep into the Audit/Evaluation of the First Steps Early Intervention System in Indiana. Rather than write about it, You can spend your time 'reading' at our center website, http://www.iidc.indiana.edu/ecc/ just click on partnership projects. This week I've attempted to put together a 5 year implementation timeline for the system. Just a little challenge. And coding....oh that seems to never end. We did an online survey with providers and parents and the 'comment' sections all have to be coded. Some topics (e.g. if you have left the First Steps System in the past year what would have made you stay...) Some entries have over 500 entries and we have something like 15 questions to code.

And next week, we are hosting a summer institute. My presentation will be on Transition from Preschool to Kindergarten. It has taken quite a bit of time to put it all together but I'm pleased with what I have learned in the process. I am also preparing two sessions for online. This is a three hour graduate credit course, I'm only a little piece of the class.

I could catch you up on my family and dogs but since they are the only ones who even read this, they can update themselves. I do want to note that all of them have Blogs and I'm loving reading and keeping up with their days. Of course, some of them could write a little more often...
