My favorite redheaded daughter HOOKED me up with a new background, music and my bloglist. Her hourly rate was a little steep so I will be adding more over the next few days. Stay tuned!

Makin it better

Spring is coming so why not grow! Finally.

You are all in for a treat...well anyone who ever reads Blogzilla! I am off to Texas on Wednesday afternoon and Susan has promised to help me spif up the blog. Its about time you say....well I do agree. I've done nothing much since it began and you must have all become quite bored with the nothing. So, check back in about a week, look for a nice background, links for other blogs I visit, MUSIC that makes me happy and news about what's going on in our lives.

I am alive

I know, I know, I never write and I probably won't as often as I like. But tonight its a good time to just say hey to all those who check in now and then. Life continues in Indy..its now cold and winter is creeping in. Thanksgiving is just around the corner...well in a couple of weeks and the kids are planning their visits to the homefront. Well, all but the youngest and he just lives tooooo far away. But he's happy, his wife is happy and their son is super happy. I just worry that I won't be able to be a part of his life and I sorta like being part of my grandchildren's lives. I'll just have to do it in another way. In the meantime, I look forward to anytime, all the time and whenever I get to see, hear, or read about Nic, Will, Natalie, Landry and Samuel.

And then there are those dogs....mmmmmm they are still a major part of my life. I'm trying to decide which of two puppies to keep. Well I probably know but now I must find a great home for Stella. She is such such a sweetie.

OK, enough....enough.

Somebody IS Out There!

This is where I love to spend my time......in a cabin in the woods....Oh, that would be a nice song...In a Cabin in the Woods, Little Man by the Window Stood.

Well Golly...somebody actually READ my BLOG! I have not had time to write ANYTHING, just choose a title. So, you want to know what I'm doing to keep me away from you all? And why I have not time for anything but reading the blogs of others.


I am deep into the Audit/Evaluation of the First Steps Early Intervention System in Indiana. Rather than write about it, You can spend your time 'reading' at our center website, http://www.iidc.indiana.edu/ecc/ just click on partnership projects. This week I've attempted to put together a 5 year implementation timeline for the system. Just a little challenge. And coding....oh that seems to never end. We did an online survey with providers and parents and the 'comment' sections all have to be coded. Some topics (e.g. if you have left the First Steps System in the past year what would have made you stay...) Some entries have over 500 entries and we have something like 15 questions to code.

And next week, we are hosting a summer institute. My presentation will be on Transition from Preschool to Kindergarten. It has taken quite a bit of time to put it all together but I'm pleased with what I have learned in the process. I am also preparing two sessions for online. This is a three hour graduate credit course, I'm only a little piece of the class.

I could catch you up on my family and dogs but since they are the only ones who even read this, they can update themselves. I do want to note that all of them have Blogs and I'm loving reading and keeping up with their days. Of course, some of them could write a little more often...
